Tuesday is the official cooking day for the Kindergartners and today they made something extra sweet. Ms. Jillian introduced the lesson by going over all the ingredients (biscuits, cinnamon sugar and butter). She then began to cut the biscuits into halves, thirds and fourths and quizzed the students on fractions.
Once the biscuits were divided they were glazed with warm melted butter, mixed in with the dry ingredients then put in the oven in a cupcake pan until golden brown.
This hands-on activity was the perfect way to learn about measurements and fractions and take home a tasty treat.
